My CCD-V5000 Hi8 camcorder became completely unuseable and I was faced with the prospect of having to throw it away due to the lack of vcr repair businesses nowadays. Then I saw the listing on EBay for A-Tech's Hi8 repair service. I figured I had nothing to lose, except the cost of shipping, so I sent the camera to them. I'm really glad I did. Not only were there age-related problems, but a botched repair by its previous owner contributed to the camera's failure. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the miracle you preformed on my TRV-740. It has been performing without fail on old tapes. I have only used the cleaning tape once for 10 seconds. The replacement of that head was the fix and I appreciate your effort.

Why are you not the number one reference from Sony on their website? They referenced another company to me that could not do what you did. As a matter of fact they sent it back to me - parts unavailable. Can't be fixed. WTF?? You did a great job. Carry on.

The camcorder was repaired to operational condition within a reasonable amount of time......once it was "Found" after delivery.
