Hi Manny, Sorry for the delay in responding but we just picked up the camcorder and tested it this week. It works! We are so pleased to be able to access our old videos and can now begin the archiving process to dvd. The only downside is that it came back without the lens cover. I don't suppose for our use it matters since we will no longer be using it to record but thought you should know for quality control. Thank you for your efficient and effective service. Just what we needed and at a reasonable cost.

Although I've been involved in electronic repair since 1970, I find the 8mm machines are best left to those who have experience in repairing them. This unit is 30 years old and its quality is so superior to any vcr or tuner made today that I have not been able to dispose of it. I keep it in the spare room. And now it is like new.

I keep my 40 year old Beetle in the garage. Fortunately my 36 year son moved out last year.

The vcr works perfectly, and I greatly appreciate the work to fix the 2 problems. I was hoping for the 5-day turnaround, but I know it took awhile to receive some parts that were on order. Communication of the status was very good though. Thanks again. Chuck Rategan
